Dr Ioanne Anderson

Dr Anderson has been providing care to patients on the Sunshine Coast since 2002. His special interests are cataract, pterygium and strabismus surgery, glaucoma management and surgery, oculoplastics and neuro-ophthalmology, including the use of botulinum toxin for facial movement disorders.
Dr Anderson is a graduate of the University of Queensland, and began his Ophthalmology training in Brisbane. He received his fellowship training in Glaucoma and Neuro-ophthalmology at the Birmingham & Midlands Eye Centre in the United Kingdom, and later held the position of Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology, Mater Health Services, which included supervising the training of postgraduates and Ophthalmology registrars.
He is actively involved in clinical research, and continues to present at international conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals Dr Anderson performs the most advanced micro-incisional cataract surgery on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Ben Fleming

Dr Fleming has been providing care to patients on the Sunshine Coast since 2008. His special interests are medical retina, including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and surgical retina, including retinal detachment and 25 gauge vitrectomy for macular hole and epiretinal membrane.
Dr Fleming is a graduate of the University of Queensland and began his Ophthalmology training in Brisbane. He received his fellowship training in Medical Retina and Vitreo-retinal Surgery at St Paul’s Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom, and later completed additional retinal fellowship training at the Lions Eye Institute.
He is actively involved in clinical research, and continues to present at international conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals. He has also been an investigator in several international multi-centre trials. Dr Fleming is the only dedicated retinal specialist on the Sunshine Coast.
